Forfeiture of Lease / Repossessions
In the majority of cases, commercial leases give the landlord the right to terminate a tenant’s lease if the tenant has breached their obligation of paying rent, without having to take the matter to court.
The lease may be forfeited by peaceably entering the premises, changing the locks and displaying notices of forfeiture of the premises.
Marston Group provide a comprehensive forfeiture service. Part of this service involves making an inventory of all valuable goods. This includes producing photographic evidence, a free service that clients have found to be an invaluable support tool. Upon receipt of instructions, Marston can act promptly and efficiently to secure the premises to ensure re-entry.
